Hello there, I'm Squeaky, co-founder of Seasoned Duck's predecessor DSSBCC, and co-founder of SD itself as well. My former partner, mjc, left the site a few years back, so we moved on into Seasoned Duck, which was 'founded' by all of us in the wake of DSSBCC. Where mjc is now, I don't know, but I miss the guy. Unfortunately, I'm unsure as to if or when we'll see him again, but we had some good times and thanks to working with him I've met many interesting people, a few of whom are on this site with me. As for me, well, I've been making comics for about...Eh...Good 8-9 years or so now, and I'm still no good at it!

In all seriousness though, I started StZ when after some careful planning and brainstorming I conceived a good plot involving Squeaky and some other characters I had made recently. Unlike my previous comic endeavors, however, StZ went for a more serious and "realistic" (I use that term lightly mind you) approach. It's not in me to be a total stick in the mud and write an EPIC SERIOUS BUSINESS plot, those are no fun, but the point of the comic for once wasn't humor. Instead, it follows Squeaky cast into a world divided by prejudice and ignorance, where anthropomorphic animals (AKA: Creatures) are common but considered to be monsters or abominations by human society at large. Most Creatures think no better of the humans either, and often conflict with them and other creatures as well. The plot of the comic revolves around the interactions and series of events deriving from this conflict between man and beast, and while a great deal has already been written and scripted out, I find myself struggling to illustrate the comic as of late due to real life problems and stress. With any luck, someday soon I'll get the comic running full speed again, but currently I don't see that happening, which is a shame as I'm quite proud of StZ's plot, even if some of the earlier artwork still makes me cringe. My colleagues tell me otherwise, but I still think I should redraw some earlier pages. XD

I do miss making funnies, though, so my random comics may return someday. That used to be my main output, random little jokes and gags put into 3x3/6/9 grid panels, or animated, though Red's currently the best animator on the team. I've got a good number of ideas for some, but as with StZ, my motivation to draw is lacking. Being unable to work is frustrating at best, but rest assured I'm not just sitting around. Even when I can't execute them, if I get an idea I'll jot it down, so hopefully when I DO manage to get my motivation back and get my motor running I'll unleash a floodgate of comics and updates THE LIKES OF WHICH NOBODY HAS EVER SEEN!

And it'll be awesome. =3

Until then though, I very highly recommend checking out my colleagues on Seasoned Duck. Their stuff is pretty much all better than mine in at least one regard, plus they actually update regularly. Stick around, enjoy what little I have to offer at the moment, and hopefully you'll find Seasoned Duck to be worth visiting regularly.
